CHALLENGE
TYPEONE is a bi-annual magazine that uses type as a creative gateway into culture, technology, innovation, and design. With each issue, it champions the next generation, showcasing a global spectrum of bold, emerging creative voices.
For its second issue, TYPEONE invited Gydient to design a cover that captured the core theme: Kinetic Typography.
SOLUTION
Gydient responded with a lenticular cover that distilled motion into just three bold frames, each presenting the number “2” from a different angle. Using this technique, a traditionally static format became a motion-filled experience, transforming how type is seen and felt.
The result is a cover that doesn’t just reflect the kinetic theme, it embodies it. A bold, visual statement for an issue built on movement, energy, and change.
The kinetic issue remains one of the most sold-out issues from TYPEONE.
